About Maya Abdominal Massage:

Maya Abdominal Massage is a highly effective, non-invasive massage technique that combines anatomy, physiology, herbology and naprapathy (study of ligaments) with ancient Maya healing techniques.

Through massage to the abdomen and back, Maya Abdominal Massage guides internal abdominal organs into their proper position for optimum health and well being.

Maya massage greatly improves organ function by relieving congestion and blockages to organs and improving the flow of chi and fluids of the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems.

Dr. Rosita Arvigo, DN, developed these techniques after apprenticing with Don Elijio Panti, the last of the Traditional Maya Shaman in Central America.

Don Elijio used abdominal massage to treat nearly every patient he saw and over 13 years passed his techniques to Dr. Arvigo.  She then combined them with her knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to create a holistic path to physical, emotional and spiritual well being.

What to expect from your Maya Abdominal Massage Session:

Maya Abdominal Massage is an extremely relaxing and nurturing modality of massage.  It includes:

*A comprehensive review of personal health history and health care needs

*Deep and comfortable massage applied to both the back and abdomen focused on aligning pelvic and abdominal organs.

*Deep tissue massage applied to other areas of the body according to individual need.

*Instruction in self-care techniques that individuals can apply at home to enhance the benefits of the treatment.

Additionally, herbal remedies and other natural products are available that may complement the abdominal treatment.
